REFUND POLICY

Paternity Pros LLC ("Paternity Pros," "we," "us," or "our") provides DNA specimen collection and testing coordination services. Paternity Pros LLC is not a laboratory and does not perform DNA analysis. DNA analysis is performed by the independent laboratory identified for the applicable case.
This Refund Policy explains when payments become non-refundable. Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated in a written agreement, the events and circumstances below govern refund eligibility.
1. NON-REFUNDABLE EVENTS
Payments become non-refundable when a Non-Refundable Event Occurs. A Non-Refundable Event occurs when any of the following happens:
Once one of these events has occurred, the applicable service or product is non-refundable except where otherwise required by applicable law or where Paternity Pros expressly approves an exception in writing.
2. TURNAROUND TIMES AND DELAYS
All turnaround times are estimates only and are not guarantees.
Processing or delivery may be delayed by circumstances including weather, shipping or transportation disruptions, insufficient or compromised specimens, laboratory volume or processing backlogs, additional documentation requirements, laboratory closures, governmental restrictions, natural disasters, pandemics, supply-chain disruptions, or other circumstances outside Paternity Pros' reasonable control.
Paternity Pros does not control the independent laboratory's processing schedule. No refunds, credits, or discounts will be provided solely because results take longer than the estimated turnaround time, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
3. CHANGE OF MIND OR INABILITY TO CONTINUE
If a participant changes their mind, refuses to continue, or becomes unable to complete testing after a non-refundable event has occurred, all applicable charges remain non-refundable and any outstanding balance remains due in full.
4. ADDITIONAL SPECIMENS
If the independent laboratory requests an additional specimen and a participant refuses or is unable to provide it, all fees already subject to this policy remain non-refundable and any outstanding balance remains due. Paternity Pros does not guarantee that one specimen will always be sufficient for laboratory processing.
5. INCONCLUSIVE, INSUFFICIENT, OR REJECTED SPECIMENS
The independent laboratory determines whether a specimen can be processed and whether additional testing or specimens are necessary.
If a result is inconclusive, insufficient, rejected, or otherwise cannot be completed for any reason as determined by the laboratory, all fees subject to this policy remain non-refundable.
Paternity Pros does not guarantee a particular laboratory outcome.
6. PRENATAL DNA TESTING
Paternity Pros does not diagnose pregnancy, assess fetal health, or guarantee the outcome of a pregnancy.
Clients are solely responsible for providing accurate information concerning pregnancy status, gestational age, and other circumstances relevant to the requested prenatal service before scheduling.
For the gender DNA testing service offered through the applicable independent laboratory, the minimum gestational age requirement is 6 weeks at the time of collection.
Do not proceed with gender DNA testing if:
Laboratory-specific eligibility requirements may apply.
For the NIPP service offered through the applicable independent laboratory, the minimum gestational age requirement is 7 weeks at the time of collection. Eligibility requirements are determined by the requirements of the independent laboratory performing the applicable analysis.
Do no proceed with NIPP testing if any of the following conditions apply:
Proceeding despite a known or undisclosed disqualifying condition does not create a right to a refund. Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information known to them that may affect eligibility, collection, laboratory processing, or interpretation.
In the event of a miscarriage, misdiagnosed pregnancy, or other pregnancy-related complication after a non-refundable service event, all fees already incurred remain non-refundable.
7. POSTMORTEM DNA TESTING
Paternity Pros does not control the condition, age, quality, availability, or viability of specimens obtained from third-party facilities such as hospitals, coroners, funeral homes, or other custodians.
If testing cannot be completed because a specimen is degraded, insufficient, unavailable, or otherwise unsuitable for analysis, all fees already subject to this policy remain non-refundable.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service is required before collection or coordination begins. The remaining balance is due in full before results are released regardless of outcome.
If Paternity Pros confirms access to a third-party facility in advance and is denied access upon arrival due to circumstances outside our control, a non-refundable return visit fee applies as follows:
Postmortem paternity testing involving a pregnant living participant requiring a prenatal blood draw is priced as a combined service. Contact us before booking for pricing.
8. PARTICIPANT-COLLECTED / AT-HOME COLLECTION
Participant-collected/at-home collection kits are intended for informational/personal-knowledge testing only and are non-refundable once purchased or shipped.

9. PAYMENT AND OUTSTANDING BALANCES
Full payment is required at or before the time of service or purchase unless otherwise agreed in a signed written agreement.
Test participants and/or third-party payors are jointly and severally liable for payment in full of all testing fees regardless of original payment method or payor.
Outstanding balances must be settled within 30 days of the original appointment. Accounts not settled within 30 days may be referred to a collections agency or subject to legal action. The client shall be responsible for any associated collection costs, court fees, or reasonable attorney fees incurred in recovering the balance.
10. MOBILE VISIT NO-SHOWS AND RETURN VISITS
Payment is required in full before the mobile collector departs for the appointment.
If a confirmed mobile appointment has been dispatched and the client is unavailable or otherwise unable to receive the scheduled service upon arrival, a non-refundable mobile no-show fee applies as follows:
This fee is separate from and in addition to any outstanding service fees which remain due in full.
A client may reschedule at no additional charge by coming to our office, or pay the applicable return visit fee for a second mobile visit, subject to appointment availability.
11. DISSATISFACTION WITH RESULTS
A client may not request a refund solely because the laboratory result is unexpected, unfavorable, or inconsistent with the client's expectations.
Laboratory results reflect the analysis performed by the independent laboratory on the specimens submitted. Paternity Pros does not guarantee a particular result or outcome.
12. EXCEPTIONS
Payments that have become non-refundable will not be refunded except where required by applicable law or where Paternity Pros confirms a verified duplicate charge or administrative billing error.
Any exception approved by Paternity Pros is discretionary and does not establish a refund entitlement in another case.
This provision does not limit any refund or other right that cannot lawfully be waived.
13. GOVERNING LAW
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.
Disputes concerning this Refund Policy are subject to the dispute provisions contained in the applicable Terms & Conditions. This Refund Policy is incorporated by reference into and forms part of our Terms & Conditions. In the event of any conflict, the provision specifically addressing the refund issue controls for that issue, subject to applicable law.
