PRIVACY POLICY

Paternity Pros LLC ("Paternity Pros," "we," "us," or "our") provides DNA specimen collection and testing coordination services. Paternity Pros LLC is not a laboratory and does not perform DNA analysis. DNA analysis is performed by the independent laboratory identified for the applicable case. 

Paternity Pros respects the privacy of individuals who interact with our services. 

This Privacy Policy describes the types of information Paternity Pros may collect, how we may use and disclose that information, and certain choices and rights that may be available to individuals under applicable law. 

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website at www.paternityprosnj.com, by telephone or email, and during in-office or mobile service interactions. 

This Privacy Policy describes Paternity Pros' own practices. Independent laboratories and other service providers may maintain separate privacy policies governing information they receive. Once information is provided to an independent laboratory, it is subject to that laboratory's own privacy, security, retention and data-protection practices, which Paternity Pros does not control. 

1.  INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

Depending on the services requested, Paternity Pros may collect:

Personal and Identification Information

Full legal name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, and government-issued identification information when required for a service. 

Genetic and Testing Information

Biological specimens collected or submitted for testing, DNA-related information, test results received by Paternity Pros, relationship information provided for testing, pregnancy-related information, postmortem information, and information concerning circumstances relevant to specimen collection or laboratory processing. 

Authorization and Consent Information

Signed consent and disclosure authorization forms, legal guardian documentation for minor participants and legal authorization documentation where applicable.

Payment Information

Payment information processed through third-party providers. 

Paternity Pros does not retain full payment-card numbers where payment processing is handled by the applicable payment provider. 

Website and Technical Information

IP address, browser types, device information, pages visited, general website usage information, and information used for security, analytics and website functionality.

2.  HOW WE MAY USE INFORMATION

Paternity Pros may use information as reasonably necessary to:

Schedule and administer appointments.

Verify identity when required. 

Collect or coordinate collection of biological specimens. 

Submit specimens and necessary information to the independent laboratory performing the requested analysis. 

Receive and deliver authorized results.

Process payments.

Communicate concerning a case. 

Maintain business and testing records. 

Respond to requests and inquiries. 

Comply with applicable legal, regulatory or contractual requirements.

Protect the security and integrity of our services.

Resolve disputes and enforce applicable agreements. 

Operate and improve our website and services. 

We do not intentionally use genetic information obtained for testing for unrelated marketing purposes.

3.  HOW WE MAY SHARE INFORMATION

We may share client information with independent laboratories and service providers when reasonably necessary to provide administer, secure, document, or support the requested services or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy or permitted or required by applicable law.

Independent Laboratories

Information and biological specimens may be provided to the independent laboratory performing the requested DNA analysis. This disclosure is for the purpose of providing the requested testing service and related case administration.

Paternity Pros is a specimen collection and testing coordination service. The independent laboratory performs DNA analysis. Once information or specimens are provided to the laboratory, the laboratory's own privacy, security, retention, and data-protection practices apply. Paternity Pros does not control those practices. 

Service Providers

Paternity Pros may use third-party providers for functions such as payment processing, scheduling, document storage, communications, information technology, shipping, website hosting or analytics, and other administrative or business-support functions. Where appropriate, Paternity Pros seeks contractual or other reasonable protections concerning information handled by service providers.

Legal and Governmental Disclosures

Paternity Pros may disclose information where required or permitted by applicable law, including in response to valid court orders, subpoenas, legal process, governmental requests, regulatory requirements, or other lawful obligations.

Paternity Pros does not sell personal information or genetic information. 

4.  GENETIC INFORMATION AND BIOLOGICAL SPECIMENS

Paternity Pros uses biological specimens and genetic information only as reasonable necessary to provide the requested testing service and administer the applicable case. 

Paternity Pros does not intentionally use client DNA or genetic information for unrelated research, marketing, or commercial purposes. 

Specimens and information may be transferred to or handled by the independent laboratory and other service providers as necessary to provide the requested service. The independent laboratory may have its own specimen and data retention, destruction, security, quality-control, and other requirements. Those practices are governed by the laboratory's own policies and are outside Paternity Pros' control.

5.  DATA SECURITY

Paternity Pros maintains reasonable physical, administrative, and technical  safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. 

No electronic transmission, storage system, website, or method of communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Information transmitted electronically may be subject to risks inherent in electronic communications. By using our services you acknowledge these inherent risks. 

6.  DATA RETENTION

Paternity Pros may retain client records and test-related information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and document services, maintain business records, comply with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, or professional requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and protect legitimate business interests.

Different information may be retained for different periods. Information held by an independent laboratory is subject to that laboratory's own retention practices. 

7.  RESULTS RELEASE AND CONFIDENTIALITY

Results are released only to individuals or recipients authorized for the specific case through signed consent documentation, an applicable addendum, or other valid written authorization.

Payment does not, by itself, authorize a third-party payor to receive results. Results are released only to test participants or to recipients specifically authorized in writing for the applicable case. 

Results are not released based solely on verbal requests or to unauthorized third parties. Valid photo identification may be required before results are released. 

Results may be retained only for the period reasonably necessary under Paternity Pros' record-retention practices. Permanent availability is not guaranteed. 

8.  INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, individuals may have rights concerning their personal information, which may include requesting access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other treatment of information. 

Some requests may be subject to legal, contractual, record-retention, testing, or other limitations. Requests may be submitted using the contact information in Section 11. 

9. MINORS

Paternity Pros requires appropriate consent and authorization before collecting or processing information or specimens for a minor. Paternity Pros may require a legal parent or guardian to provide signed authorization and may request documentation establishing legal authority before collection. 

10.  COOKIES AND WEBSITE ANALYTICS

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for website functionality, security , analytics, and general usage measurement. Individuals may be able to limit cookies through browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.

11. POLICY UPDATES AND CONTACT

Paternity Pros may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
