You can find out as early as 6 weeks into your pregnancy. 

The early gender DNA test is over 99.9% accurate when the mother is at least 6 weeks pregnant. 

A small blood sample is drawn from the mother's arm. The laboratory isolates fetal DNA circulating in the mother's bloodstream and analyzes it for the presence or absence of the Y chromosome. If the Y chromosome is detected, the baby is male. If it is not detected, the baby is female.

Samples are shipped overnight to the testing laboratory. If the lab receives your samples by noon and the samples are sufficient for testing, results are delivered via email that same day. Please note that the laboratory is closed on Sundays.

Yes. This test requires a blood draw from the mother. All blood draws are performed in-office only by our certified phlebotomist. 

Fasting is not required. However we strongly recommend drinking plenty of water before your appointment. Proper hydration makes the blood draw easier.

No. This test is not recommended for mothers pregnant with multiples. The presence of multiple fetuses can affect the accuracy of results. Please contact us before booking if you are pregnant with twins, triplets, or more.

Yes. The early gender DNA test is completely non-invasive. It requires only a simple blood draw from the mother and poses no risk to you or your pregnancy. Unlike older methods such as amniocentesis, there is no risk to the fetus.

While the test is over 99.9% accurate, results can be affected by insufficient fetal DNA in the mother's blood, which is more likely before 6 weeks of pregnancy. This is why we require a minimum gestational age of 6 weeks before testing. If you are unsure of your gestational age, please confirm with your OB-GYN or midwife before booking.

If you arrive for your appointment and are not yet 6 weeks pregnant, we will be unable to collect your sample and your appointment will need to be rescheduled. All fees paid are non-refundable. Please confirm your gestational age with your healthcare provider before booking.

No, it is earlier. A standard ultrasound can typically detect gender between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy, and results depend on the baby's position during the scan. Our DNA blood test can detect gender as early as 6 weeks with over 99.9% accuracy regardless of fetal position.

We deliver your results via email, which also includes a short video. What you do with that information is entirely up to you. Many clients use their results to plan a gender reveal party, share with family, or simply start planning.
